Hi Keith Yes, the Goons were comic geniuses and way ahead of their time for sure. Thank god the episodes survived and were not wiped as many other series were at the time by the BBC so to reuse tapes!

Thank you for providing this innovative service. I listen 10 hours sometimes 18 hours a day. I ask everyone that listens to help support it. One comment however in pursuit of excellence. If the noise to signal ratio on a broadcast is over 30% it is UNlistenable. Also 19 Nocturne program is terrible. Sorry to end on a sour note. But I am a big fan.

Hi Bill I know there are quite a few programs with poor audio quality and I do remove some of the worst ones when I hear them. problem is with more than 50,000 audio files it is a bit of a chore, its an ongoing process. I will take a look at Nocturn and see what I can do... All the best, John

I used to tune to BBC radio 7, now BBC 4 extra. This station has now deteriorated, as all the BBC has in my opinion, but your Pumpkin FM has surpassed the BBC attempt at old time radio in every way. Congratulations on a great selection of old radio on all your online channels.

Twixt some programs songs and music is played. The choice is very good and not only brings back many memories but has me hunting for more. I forget how much good music there is. If there was a channel of this music I would listen to it. Thank you.

Hi George, the times should always remain the same as the schedules and the server are set to GMT / UTC. All program times are in Greenwich Mean Time. In the UK at the moment it is BST (British Summer Time) so it is GMT +1. At the top of each schedule is a GMT clock which you might find helpful. Kind regards John

Sorry these TV Comedy soundtracks just don’t work for me. You need to have remembered the original to know what is actually happening (as it is rarely explained in audio). Even the lack of credits to know who was taking part is annoying too - please drop them as it makes me switch away.

Hi Peter, thank you for your comments. The TV Audio is mainly on BritCom 2 with a few on BritCom 1. We have quite a large audience for them. I understand some of your points regarding if you had not seen the original. But, we have 8 great channels, maybe it's time to change the station if you don't like a particular show or check the schedules to avoid shows you dislike. Regards John

When I was a child my dad made me a crystal set tuned to the BBC Home service with big headphones and I went to sleep most night with them in place. I can understand why they may have chosen this action but there were many episodes where he was not on the panel any chance of you looking at running these?

Loving the shows and channels, but when I try to reach the home page by typing in the address, it goes to the 'default web page' by plesk, instead of the page. I know you're making changes, but thought you ought to be aware of this. I listen at work, and it's great to hear the old shows and music.

Pumpkin FM, runs on two servers, Abbott & Costello. Unfortunately two days ago Costello gave up on life, the fan failed and the processor fried itself. I have since managed to rebuild the channels that were hosted on Costello on a Virtual Windows server in the Cloud. I have had to close down for a short while all channels that are located on Abbott so I may upload 500GB worth of content to the new cloud server. Sorry for any inconvenience. Hope to back up fully by the end of today..

We apologies for issues with Pumpkin FM Server 2. This has impacted 1940s, 50's, Classical Radio, British Radio and the Adventure & Western Channel. The problem should now have been fixed. The server was overheating which led to the issues. We have added extra cooling fans. Thank you for your kind understanding.

Pumpkin FM Server 2 is currently being upgraded as of 20.30 GMT on Wednesday 22nd August. the affects the 1940s, 1950s, Adventure & Western and British Radio. We hope that all streams will be rebooted by 6am GMT on the 23rd August 2018. Thanks for your understanding!

Hi Bill, the continuity announcer is a computer generated voice or text to speech 🙂 When I get time I plan to introduce real human voices, the emphasis is on when I get time 🙂
