I'm currently struggling with bad anxieties and panic attacks so one night last week I decided to open the TuneIn app and choose something calming. I was initially thinking of some music but randomly opened the BritCom 1 channel instead. Wow. I am loving it! I've now been listening in every night. The shows really keep me calm, make me laugh out loud and help lift my mood enormously. They say laughter is the best medicine and they're not wrong. I am in awe every night of the script writers, the performers and creativity of each show. (Though my favourite is definitely The Clitheroe Kid.) I think that listening to the shows without being distracted by visuals on a tv is a great way to enjoy and immerse myself in the comedy works. Especially as they're often short episodes. (If they're too long my brain gets overwhelmed and I have to switch off.) Thankyou and Keep up the great work.... Collapse

Please remove bumper music from the I dream of Jeanie program. I miss part of the show. This happens on ever episode I hear. I stream from the service daily. I am disabled and low income so is part of my only form of entertainment I get.... Collapse

I really don't think that Gary Glitter "Do you want to touch me" is an appropriate filler song.... Collapse

Unlike all other radio channels where I get what is advertised, Venture Radio forces me to hear loud music as some sort of filler after a great show or two for some strange reasoning. I DID NOT tune in for any music, I always change channel. What is needed is all WESTERNS 24/7! Unique.... Collapse

Great response to the Summer Appeal. We value what you do. It's sort of like the Library of Congress for radio programs, primary source materials. Good job, John O.

Hi! 🙂 I found you about two months ago. As a millennial much of the content here is entirely new to me, especially given I was not really a radio listener until my late 20's onwards, so this nostalgia fest is worth its weight in gold to my mind. So much so that I have signed up as a monthly donor for you. I am sorry it isn't much mind, but it is a little something to say your efforts are appreciated, and it is such a blessed relief to be able to listen to shows without my cheerful mood from a comedy show suddenly being interrupted by propaganda passing itself off as news at the top of the hour, or to be interrupted by adverts selling me things I have no need for. That said I absolutely adore the old school adverts and musical interludes 🙂

In any case, thank you for building this oasis. I would love you to be interviewed one day as it would be real interesting to know how all this came about. Thanks again. 🥰... Collapse

Hello,
I love "This Sceptered Isle". on Radio Brittania.
Is there any way I can hear/download, whatever, the whole series?
Best history presentation ever.... Collapse

The amount of repetition is excessive. These shows have huge back catalogues, yet only a tiny selection is repeated endlessly. It’s disappointing when there’s so much more variety available. Please consider rotating in more episodes instead of recycling the same ones.... Collapse

Thanks Admin.. another great tech tip..audio is ok again. That'll teach me to not play with security settings! I've been listening and donating for 2 years and like the variety of comedy, news, quiz and detective shows. Now that I know the time difference I use the schedule pages. This is my stress relief from the Trump daily assaults!... Collapse

Pumpkin FM is singularly the greatest reason to open my Chromebook. What an absolute joy to listen to.... Collapse
