Barbie invites Joan and Eddie to dinner and sends Bill down to the club to get Eddie. When Bill gets there, Jacko is showing off the handcuffs worn by Dr. Crippen, the famous murderer. He puts them on Bill and Eddie and they are stuck without a key. While Jacko goes to find keys, Eddie and Bill go home to dinner. They break into the factory to find something to cut them off when Jacko arrives.

There are burglaries in the area and Nellie sees someone creeping around outside the pub at night. She thinks its the window cleaner Charlie. Or is it?

Stevenson, a British soldier, is summoned to Germany where he stays as Jan Tartu. He joins the Romanian Iron Guard to destroy the German poisonous gas factory.

This leads to and through an organized gang led by a society matron. The girl is found dead, and while it looks like a suicide, the girl's sister and a newspaper reporter think it is murder.

Abandoned (1949) was one of a series of semi-documentary movies that were popular at the time. It was based on an original story by Irwin Gielgud commissioned by producer Jerry Bresler. Director Joseph Newman and Bresler had previously worked together in the shorts department at MGM.

The Ruling Class is a 1972 British black comedy. It is an adaptation of Peter Barnes' satirical stage play The Ruling Class which tells the story of a paranoid schizophrenic British nobleman (played by Peter O'Toole) who inherits an Earldom (a high-ranking aristocratic title).

The film co-stars Alastair Sim, William Mervyn, Coral Browne, Harry Andrews, Carolyn Seymour, James Villiers and Arthur Lowe. It was produced by Jules Buck and directed by Peter Medak.In a review nearly 30 years after The Ruling Class was first released, critic Ian Christie said the film is "unashamedly theatrical, and it emerges from a particularly interesting period in English culture when theatre and cinema together were mining a rich vein of flamboyant self-analysis.


Many stage works of this period cry out for filmic extension—in fact, Medak had just filmed a very different play that mingled fantasy and reality by a writer often bracketed with Barnes, Peter Nichols’ A Day in the Death of Joe Egg. But what makes The Ruling Class exceptional (and difficult for some) are its outrageous mixing of genres and its sheer ambition. The Ghost Train (1941) is a British comedy/mystery movie. Arthur Askey plays irritating entertainer Tommy Gander who is stranded overnight in a Cornish train station with his fellow passengers.
