Coronation Day 12 May 1937 While the rest of the nation celebrates, Clarence Sale continues his removals business. He enlists the help of ladies' maid, Jane Travers, a move which changes his life.

After being disturbed by the local Revivalist Band and having a big argument with the boys about religion, Eddie gets converted and joins the band; Joan hatches a plan to revert him to normal.

The film is set at Narkover School, where headmaster Doctor Benjamin Twist becomes involved in the disappearance of a valuable necklace.

Jason is suffering writer's block so his publisher sends him to Greece to inspire him. However, some Greek criminals use a beautiful woman to seduce Jason using his fame to smuggle drugs into France - but who is seducing who?

Gulley Jimson (Alec Guinness) is a boorish aging artist recently released from prison. A swindler in search of his next art project, he hunkers down in the penthouse of would-be patrons the Beeders (Robert Coote, Veronica Turleigh) while they go on an extended vacation; he paints a mural on their wall, pawns their valuables and, along with the sculptor Abel (Richard Gough), inadvertently smashes a large hole in their floor. Jimson's next project is an even larger wall in an abandoned church.

Hyacinth is not looking forward to Onslow's birthday celebrations, but news that a limousine awaits her and Richard to take them to the proceedings soon changes her mind.

When Barbie convinces join that she should become more alluring to eddie, the plan backfires leading to a misunderstanding between eddie and bill and a drunken showdown in the street .

Bill O'Brien is a New York con man in search of a suitable gullible person to make some money on. In a fancy nightclub he finds Charles Engle, a man ridden by guilt and on the brink of committing suicide after embezzling a large sum of money that he has spent on his high-maintenance wife.

Charles has the appearance of a common hillbilly from out of town visiting the city and Bill decides to scam him for his money. Bill is unaware that the desperate Charles only has until 6 am to pay back the money he has embezzled before the crime is discovered.

One of the showgirls at the club, Nina Barona, is persuaded by Bill to help trick Charles into entering a poker game to win back the money. The game is arranged by a gangster named Dutch Enright.
