A British road repairman gets into a feud with the Army, gets drafted and is mistakenly parachuted into Nazi occupied France where his physical resemblance to the local German commandant triggers a hilarious chain reaction.

The Ghost Train (1941) is a British comedy/mystery movie. Arthur Askey plays irritating entertainer Tommy Gander who is stranded overnight in a Cornish train station with his fellow passengers. Local legend has it that a phantom train passes through the station with the ghosts of its passengers on board. Strange things start to happen as the mystery of the ghost train begins to untangle. This film was based on a stage play by Arnold Ridley (Private Godfrey in the BBC sitcom Dad's Army). The Ghost Train was directed by Walter Forde.

She flees with Karl to England where her father is already working for the Royal Navy, guarded by undercover agent Dickie Randall (Rex Harrison). No sooner are they reunited when Karl, actually an SS agent, steals father and daughter back to Germany. It is up to Randall to save them.

Chauvelin's scheme to capture the Countess de Monsants before she can escape to England succeeds and she and her servant fall into his trap. Sir Percy hears about it and hatches his own scheme, rescuing the Countess and her servant from under Chauvelin's nose and smuggling them to England. Outraged, Chauvelin travels to England, planning to kidnap the countess and bring her back to France. Meanwhile, the Prince has hired a Chinese decorator to remodel a wing of the palace, and Sir Percy decides to use the man in his plan to thwart Chauvelin's plot.
