Reggie Wilson's Hollywood career as a film editor ended after he had an affair with his boss's wife. He then moved to England, became successful, and married the daughter of a producer. They are both working on a new film 'Eclipse'. His new life is threatened when he starts receiving intimate letters from a woman. She reminds him of a relationship they had some time ago but he genuinely has no knowledge of it. Has he a sick mind or is he the victim of an evil scheme?

Hobson's Choice is a 1954 British romantic comedy film directed by David Lean.

It is based on the 1916 play of the same name by Harold Brighouse. It stars Charles Laughton in the role of Victorian bootmaker Henry Hobson, Brenda De Banzie as his eldest daughter and John Mills as a timid employee.

Henry Hobson (Charles Laughton), a British widower, is the overbearing owner of a shoe shop.

His three daughters -- Alice, Vicky and Maggie (Brenda De Banzie) -- work for him and all are eager to get out from under his thumb.

When the headstrong Maggie announces she intends to marry Henry's best employee, Will (John Mills), father and daughter engage in an intense showdown.

As Maggie works on launching a competing business, she also helps her sisters free themselves of their domineering father.

Alice adopts a puppy and Ralph inadvertently feeds dog food to his boss.

Norton buys stock in a fictional company Ralph is considering starting up called Ralph Kramden, Inc. And when Ralph learns that he is going to receive an inheritance, Norton wants his share as well.

Ralph tries to remould his character, only to have Alice ask him to return to his old self.

Mrs. Marsh is once again hankering after an improvement in her lot through the Corporal's promotion; and when C Flight are set on night guard of the camp under Sergeant Dobson, an opportunity arises.

The cold has set in and fuel rations are severely limited amidst a fuel crisis, so Marsh is quick to alleviate C Flight of their portion of coke for Alice's use each night. Meanwhile, Ken is facing troubles of the heart.

The morning after the fire and basic training is complete. The boys are due in front of the Selection Officer to determine their future trade. Mrs. Marsh is similarly insistent that the Cpl. assesses his own career.

After just a week in Malta, Leckie, Ken, Lilley and Jakey are dismayed to find themselves re-posted back to Britain, and into the welcoming bosom of RAF Hospital Druidswater.

The results are in, and with them a new set of postings. Marsh is initially due to join three of the boys in Malta with Leckie sent to Germany, but they're not keen on the arrangement.

Training continues, and the boys are perplexed to the point of anger when Marsh appears to actually have some knowledge.

Leckie attracts the eye of a female Corporal, whilst Lilley discovers a tendency to faint at anything remotely bloody or grisly even being suggested. Matters between the group and Marsh come to a head when he takes them for a swimming lesson.

After lucking out with a girl yet again, Ken is forlorn when he discovers Mrs. Fairfax is set to leave the camp; whilst Leckie is owed some money by Corporal Marsh - but he's refusing to pay up.

The boys are looking forward to their first leave, and an opportunity to get out of the camp at last. A dance at the local village hall beckons.

The boys of C Flight are delighted to have 36 whole hours' leave. Ken and Jakey soon get into a spot of bother in London with some of Jakey's old teddy-boy mates.

Jakey's got some sets of cheap hankies he has it in mind to sell, which causes an awful lot of trouble as C Flight collect their kit from the stores.

Returned from leave, Ken, Jakey, Leckie and Lilley arrive at RAF Midham to begin their next round of training - as nursing attendants.

As C Flight prepare themselves for a first visit to the M.O., it seems Leckie is finding hsi service far tougher than the others. Could a few careless words about suicide from Cpl. Marsh put ideas in his head?

Christmas has arrived and C Flight's Jakey, Leckie, Lilley and Ken are the only boys left on camp, as the appointed maintenance crew over the season. Alice instructs Cpl. Marsh to invite them for dinner.

Lilley's parents invite Marsh - the hero - to give a rousing talk at their church hall; but seeing everyone fawning over the deceitful bully sends Matthew round the bend, and he develops a nasty streak like Marsh himself.

The food being served up in the camp canteen continues getting worse and worse, as Cook-Corporal Jenner runs a side-line in offloading as much as possible to line his own pocket. C Flight decide to take a stand.

Marsh hatches a cunning plan to ensure C Flight graduate top of their intake, ensuring him his long-desired third stripe and a promotion to the rank of Sergeant.

Lilley's principles are fast getting in the way of smooth relations amongst C Flight, before Marsh nails his boots to the floor.

C Flight are initially put out when their regular routine is changed; but as it's in favour of some real training - both with guns on the ground, and on a real air flight - they quickly change their minds. Corporal Marsh, however, is far less keen with the latter endeavour.

A new set of recruits arrive for their two years of National Service at RAF Skelton, and proceed to become particular enemies of their Drill Instructor, Corporal Marsh.
